The Shimano TIAGRA family of blue-water trolling reels are designed specifically for targeting powerful gamefish - dorados, tunas, sailfish and the mighty marlin.
The TIAGRA 130 is constructed of one-piece frame machined from thick 9mm aluminium pipe stock for strength and 6 ball bearings with Shimano’s proven 2-speed mechanism. A high gear ratio of 2.2:1 helps to retrieve and clear heavy baits quickly on a fish coming right onto the boat. The low speed gear ratio of 1.2:1 provides incredible power to gain line under extreme condition. The double drag plate system generates 70lbs of drag at strike and can hit 100lbs of drag!
Medium/large sized TIAGRAs 50/80s deliver outstanding performance with up to 34 pounds of drag while the small/medium sized TIAGRAs deliver between 25 to 28 pounds and are great for fishermen who desire smaller tackle for larger fish. The WLRS series are wider spool versions.
